Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox with Fifi, Fev & Nick took their Brekky in the Burbs broadcast to the set of Neighbours to celebrate the show's final episode.

After 8903 episodes, countless disasters, and one of the most iconic slaps in television history, the final episode of Australia’s longest running drama will be simulcast on 10 and 10 Peach on Thursday, July 28 at 7:30pm, in a 90-minute finale.

Fifi, Fev & Nick were joined by cast members Stefan Dennis, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Takaya Honda, Georgie Stone, Lucinda Cowden and Charlotte Chimes, amongst a bunch of super fans and listeners.

Attending listeners and fans had the chance to win an official Ramsay Street sign and the official script of the final episode, signed by the cast.

Fifi stepped in front of the camera as old Neighbours character Brooke Butler to act out a scene with Stefan Dennis and Takaya Honda.

101.9 The Fox’s Brekky in the Burbs is a staple to the Fifi, Fev & Nick breakfast show, where they hit the road and visit various suburbs across Melbourne.

Mediaweek spoke to Fifi Box about Brekky in the Burbs back in May, when Brekky in the Burbs was initially expanded out from being a four-show run into a permanent show staple.

“We did North, South, East, and West,” said Box. “It’s interesting because we all come from those areas. I’m an Eastern suburbs girl, I grew up out in Wonga Park, Croydon, and Ringwood. Nick (Cody) is from the West, he grew up in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee. Fev (Brendan Fevola) is from down the south, he grew up in Narre Warren. So that was really us going back to the areas that we know.

“What we didn’t anticipate was everybody wanting us to go to their suburbs. We’re getting requests, we’ve got a long list and I think we’ll probably start taking votes. Where do you want us? Because we’re obviously going to continue this!”

Listen to Fifi, Fev & Nick on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox from 6-9am weekdays.
