Singles: Bieber explodes close to Christmas with #1 and #3 in top 10 Albums: Adele holds in top spot as "25" ships over 420,000 units

We suggested a couple of weeks ago that people deciding to purchase Adele's "25" instead of "Hello" might loosen her grip on #1 in the singles chart. That didn't happen back then, but it might have this week as Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" jumps a spot to #1 with "Hello" down one place to #2.

It's starting to look like a Bieber Christmas with the prolific pop star securing three places again this week in the top 10 with "Sorry" at #3 and his former #1 "What Do You Mean?" at #10 after 15 weeks on the chart.

DJ Snake is new in the top 10, with "Middle" featuring Bipolar Sunshine up from #19 to #7 after seven weeks on the chart.

Three new entries this week as new releases dry up:
#9 Hilltop Hoods with "Higher" featuring James Chatburn
#11 Sigala with "Sweet Lovin' "
#42 Marcus Marr and Chet Faker with "Work" EP

Troye_Sivan_-_Blue_NeighbourhoodWith ARIA Diamond status being 500,000 units of an album, Adele is well on the way to Diamond status with "25" now 6x Platinum (Platinum = 70,000). Adele's "21" has qualified for Diamond though as it is currently 15x Platinum (over 1,000,000).

Needless to say that sort of action keeps "25" secure on top spot, with "21" down to #15 this week and "19" down to #26.
