720 ABC Perth drive presenter Jane Marwick has announced she will not return to the ABC in 2017.

Marwick, who is part-way through a law degree, has decided to pursue other opportunities.

ABC Perth radio local content manager Sarah Knight said: “I am very sad to lose a presenter of Jane’s quality and passion. She brings a fresh perspective to all she does. I wish her all the best and hope that she will remain a friend of 720 ABC Perth.”

Marwick said she has thoroughly enjoyed her time at the ABC. “It has been a privilege to present at 720 ABC Perth. I would like to thank Sarah Knight for the opportunity.

“As a longtime ABC radio listener, it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know the radio audience (including regional listeners) who have been a constant source of thoughtful conversation, insight and witty repartee.

“To my colleagues at the ABC, thank you for your support and friendship.”

Marwick will work through until the Christmas break. Her final day in the drive chair will be Thursday December 22 3pm-6pm.
