PubMatic names Takeo Hori to lead advertiser solutions

PubMatic names Takeo Hori to lead advertiser solutions

PubMatic has named Takeo Hori as senior director, advertiser solutions for Japan.

Hori was most recently head of sales at Teads. He previously led the advertising division at Microsoft Japan, focusing on agency clients, and was business development director at Index Exchange, where he launched the demand-side business in Japan.

In his new role at the adtech company, Hori will oversee demand-side sales, manage relationships with advertisers and agencies, and drive new business development.

Takeo said of his new role: "I am truly honoured to join PubMatic and contribute to the wider digital advertising industry. Over the years, I have gained in-depth knowledge of supply-side technologies.

"My experiences have fueled my passion for delivering real media value to advertisers and I aim to leverage my expertise to promote a deeper understanding and wider adoption of the Open Web's value, within the Japanese market."

Takeo will report to Ken Aihara, Country Manager for Japan. He added: “We are delighted to welcome Takeo to the PubMatic team.

“His depth of experience and proven leadership will be crucial as we continue to expand and drive our presence and innovation in the Japanese market."

This comes after Sojern, a leading marketing platform for the hospitality sector, partnered with PubMatic last month to enhance programmatic ad targeting by integrating real-time travel data into curated media buys.

The partnership allows advertisers and agencies to activate Sojern’s vertical-specific travel audience segments directly within PubMatic’s Connect platform, a curation and data solution designed to improve ad performance and maintain privacy standards.

The companies have worked together previously, but this expanded collaboration cements a joint focus on curated, high-performing programmatic advertising solutions for travel marketers.
