Independent agency Think HQ has appointed Charmaine Griffith to the newly created role of head of growth.

She joins from Clemenger BBDO, where she spent more than two and a half years as growth director.

Prior to that, Griffith held leadership roles at VML Australia and New Zealand, PwC’s CMO Advisory, OMD and Initiative.

Griffith to lead national growth strategy

In her new role, she will drive Think HQ’s Sydney growth strategy, strengthening the 100 strong Melbourne-headquartered agency’s presence in NSW and beyond.

Griffith will join Sarah Wood on the Sydney leadership team, driving coordinated growth across Think HQ’s integrated approach to strategy, creative, PR, tech and diverse audience engagement.

Think HQ founder and managing director Jen Sharpe said Griffith’s appointment reflects the strength of the agency’s ambition nationally.

“From the first conversation, it was clear she truly understands our unique strengths in the market and brings a proven ability to lead growth in complex, integrated environments,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to working together to bring Think HQ’s positive change approach to more clients and communities across Australia.”

Wood described Griffith as one of those people who instantly lifts a room.

“She’s smart, curious and genuinely invested in helping clients and teams grow,” she said.

“I’m so excited to have her on board at Think HQ Sydney as we build on our growth trajectory and keep driving positive change.”

Griffith said she’s excited to join the team this week.

“Think HQ has built something rare - an agency that solves complex problems for major clients, while staying true to their values,” she said.

“That’s good growth, and exactly what I want to scale in NSW and nationally.”

Griffith’s appointment follows recent pitch wins with Cancer Council Australia, Stride Mental Health and Raising Children Network.
