DesignStreet has appointed of Jonty Hardy as chief executive officer (CEO).

In this position, Hardy replaces current managing director, Graham Hardy, who will continue on as a director.

The newly appointed CEO will be responsible for all company operations and will be supported by creative director, Mick Lakin and account director, Sam Beasley.

DesignStreet specialises in B2B marketing with services that include digital marketing, direct marketing, strategy, and below-the-line activities. Other key clients include Nespresso, National Broadband Network (NBN), NSW Government, Vocus, KIA Australia, and DELL Technologies.

Hardy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Macquarie University, majoring in Marketing and Organisational Behaviour. He began his extensive marketing career at DesignStreet in 2006 and joined Creative Activation in 2007.

Hardy was then appointed as senior account manager at Aegis Media before re-joining DesignStreet as general manager in 2014. Since then he has overseen strong company growth, including the development of American Express as a major client in Australia and across JAPA.

DesignStreet currently provides marketing services to four key divisions within American Express in a relationship that stretches back to 2006, with thousands of completed projects.

Hardy said: "Our three-year plan is to maintain our current growth path while remaining as an agile, responsive creative agency that is boutique-sized and that works with a limited selection of global and Australian blue-chip clients."

Graham Hardy said the younger Hardy's appointment is a logical step in a succession plan that sees the company remain in family hands.

"Over the past eight years Jonty has been an inspirational leader as general manager, and he has built an excellent team and a strong track record of results with outstanding clients. We are excited by this next step in Jonty’s career and the focus and energy he brings to every project," the elder Hardy said.

DesignStreet is an independent family-owned graphic design and marketing agency that was established in 1998. Jonty will be a 50/50 partner with Graham, who will have responsibility for content development, finance, and strategic input on key projects.
