Hopeful Monsters opens doors in WA

Hopeful Monsters has gone west and launched its Perth office, expanding its national presence

The independent creative agency’s approach is grounded in the view that brands need a strong understanding of customer and category culture to gain meaningful attention.

Hopeful Monsters’ new office will support deeper engagement between existing clients and Western Australian audiences, while also creating opportunities to work with WA-based organisations looking for culture-led strategy and creative.

The Perth team will be led by business director Sophie Morris, who brings over 11 years of experience connecting cultural insight with commercial outcomes.

Her past work includes campaigns for Converse and the Great Unwaste campaign for End Food Waste Australia.

Sophie Morris, Business Director at Hopeful Monsters, said: "There’s a rawness to WA that I’ve completely fallen for - open skies, red dirt, and a creative culture that’s been shaped by distance. Perth isn’t just another outpost. It’s a world of its own, with people who think differently, act boldly, and create from the edges.

"Western Australia is home to bold, ambitious brands, and we’re excited to match that energy with our culture-first approach. This expansion allows us to be more hands-on in the region, partnering with people who want to do more than follow trends - they want to lead and shape what’s next.”
