Metcash has named Ivan Curic as Head of Sales for LocalEyes, its recently launched retail media network.

Curic steps into the role on 1 September 2025 and will report to Mark Lollback, General Manager of Retail Media.

The appointment comes as Metcash looks to expand LocalEyes across its food, liquor and hardware businesses, offering advertisers a mix of national reach and local-level engagement through more than 6,500 independent stores.

Experience across major media companies

Curic brings extensive commercial and media experience, having held senior roles at Domain, Southern Cross Austereo, Nine Entertainment Co, Viacom International Media Networks and Network Ten.

At Metcash, he will lead sales and market strategy for LocalEyes, with responsibility for building commercial partnerships, strengthening agency ties, and managing supplier relationships.

Backing from leadership

Danielle Jenkinson, Chief People and Growth Officer at Metcash, said Curic’s background made him well-suited to the role.

“We’re pleased to welcome Ivan to the team with his wealth of experience as a recognised leader in the media industry. His appointment marks an exciting step forward for Metcash as we start to scale the LocalEyes retail media network.”

Building on trusted brands

In his new position, Curic will be working closely with Lollback and the wider team to expand opportunities for advertisers across Metcash’s retail brands.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Metcash at such an exciting time. LocalEyes is built on the foundation of some of Australia’s most iconic and trusted brands – from IGA and Foodland, to Cellarbrations and The Bottle-O, as well as Mitre 10 and Home Hardware.

Metcash’s scale and diversity includes more than 6,500 independent stores nationwide, which provides an exciting unique partner proposition for advertisers; national reach with genuine local connection.

I look forward to working with Danielle, Mark and the team to unlock this value for our partners.”
