Ticketek, part of Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG), has signed a 10-year partnership with Dunedin Venues Management Ltd (DVML), aimed at expanding live events and enhancing fan experiences in Dunedin.

Running through to 2036, Ticketek will become the exclusive ticketing partner for Forsyth Barr Stadium and the Dunedin Centre, including the Dunedin Town Hall and Glenroy Auditorium.

A decade of live experiences

The partnership brings together Ticketek’s ticketing platform, TEG’s live content pipeline and DVML’s ambition to position Dunedin as a major events destination.

It also aims to leverage growing domestic and international connectivity through Dunedin Airport to attract more large-scale events to the region.

Five key priorities

The collaboration is built around five shared priorities: expanding Dunedin’s event calendar, strengthening support for promoters and hirers, enhancing ticketing technology, improving on-the-ground fan experiences and developing a joint innovation roadmap.

This includes bringing more sport, entertainment and cultural events to DVML venues, streamlining event delivery processes, and expanding access to Ticketek’s evolving platform.

Dedicated support teams and data-led innovation are also expected to play a role in improving performance and fan engagement.

‘A significant milestone’

Paul Doorn, Chief Executive Officer at Dunedin Venues Management Ltd, said the partnership marks a major step forward for the city.

“This partnership represents a significant milestone for Dunedin Venues and the city as a whole. By partnering with Ticketek and TEG, we are unlocking access to world-class ticketing technology, a proven live content pipeline, and the innovation capability to elevate what we can offer fans, promoters and event owners.”

Strengthening global ticketing

Cameron Hoy, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Ticketing at TEG, said the partnership will support long-term growth.

“Forsyth Barr Stadium and the Dunedin Centre are among New Zealand’s most dynamic venues, and by combining DVML’s ambition with TEG’s technology, data and innovation capability, we’re setting these venues up for the next decade.”

The deal reinforces Ticketek and TEG’s strategy of expanding their footprint across key international markets, while strengthening venue partnerships through technology, data and content integration.
