ARIA Chart: Barbra Streisand #1 in albums

Not too much excitement here this week with The Chainsmokers locked into top spot for a fourth consecutive week with "Closer" featuring Halsey. The vocalist on the hit single was a special guest on episode seven of Stan's musical drama series Roadies recently.

The only two new entries in the top 10 climbed from further down the chart:
#23 to #8 Martin Garrix with "In The Name Of Love" in its fifth week
#45 to #10 Calum Scott with "Dancing On My Own" in its third week

ALSO: Crowded House to be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame

Just missing a top 50 spot in its second week was "Anywhere" from Passenger which climbed from #71 to #51.

Albums

Plenty of action as usual on the album front with five new entries debuting inside the top 10 and six others landing inside the top 50 on their first week on the ARIA chart.
Barbra Streisand's "Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway" comes exactly two years after the great Hollywood actor and singer landed her first ARIA #1 album with "Partners". Her 35th album features duets with guests including Hugh Jackman and Melissa McCarthy. Before the ARIA charts launched, Streisand also had a #1 with her 1980 album "Guilty".

The other top 10 debuts this week are:
#4 Britney Spears with "Glory" which is her first time back in the top 10 since 2011
#5 Troy Cassar-Daley with "Things I Carry Around" which is his 10th studio solo album and the third to crack the top 10
#6 Twelve Foot Ninja with "Outlier" which is the second album from the Melbourne fusion metal outfit
#7 Florida Georgia Line with "Dig Your Roots" which is the third album from the American country duo

Just missing a top 10 debut was Oxford indie rock band Glass Animals with "How to be a Human Being" new at #11.

#21 Ol' 55 with "Time to Rock'n'Roll: The Anthology"
#22 The Delta Riggs with "Active Galactic"
