ARIA Chart Report: Adele refuses to budge on singles chart, new arrivals flood albums
ARIA Charts: Adele and Elvis unite again at the top, five new albums and two classics go top 10
• Singles: Justin Bieber fails to unseat Adele from top spot for third week
• Elvis holds on at #1, with five new releases filling rest of top six chart spots
Singles
Adele remains rock solid in top spot for a third week with "Hello", the single which has topped the charts in over 30 markets including time at #1 in the UK and the US.
"Hello" has again stopped Justin Bieber's "Sorry" from notching up a #1 with its third successive week in second place.
No newcomers in the top five this week although Zara Larrson & MNEK post a new high at #3, The Weeknd remains at #4 and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis drop to #5.
The only newcomer to the top 10 is Marcus Carr & Chet Faker with "The Trouble With Us", up from #14 to #10 in its fourth week.
Another single from Justin Bieber, "I'll Show You", seems destined for the top 10 as it climbs from #29 to #16.
Rachel Platten's "Stand By You" is also a bullet performer, jumping from #41 to #22 on its second week.
There were four new chart entries debuting in the top 50 this week:
#29 One Direction with "History"
#30 Avicii with "Broken Arrows"
#33 Coldplay with "Adventure Of A Lifetime"
#36 Sia with "Bird Set Free"
Slipping into the 50 from lower down the chart is RuFuS with "Like An Animal" from #72 to #44.

Albums
Elvis has made it two weeks at #1 with "If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra".
Just missing out on top spot were five new arrivals immediately below The King.
#2 Little Mix with "Get Weird"
#3 Ellie Goulding with "Delirium"
#4 Birds Of Tokyo with "Playlist"
#5 Joe Moore with "A Thousand Lifetimes
#6 Sarah Blasko with "Eternal Return"
Returning to the top 10 this week are Sam Smith with "In The Lonely Hour" and Michael Bublé with "Christmas".
Despite all this mayhem near the top of the chart, Taylor Swift has held in the top 10 at #9 on her 55th week. Ed Sheeran has slipped to #13 though with "X" after 73 weeks.
