Christmas might be over, but that doesn't mean people are ready to give up their festive feels, as catchy Yuletide hits are still claiming the top five spots on the ARIA Charts.

Leading the way on the singles charts at #1 and for the third week is Mariah Carey, with All I Want for Christmas is You.

Carey's former co-producer and co-writer Walter Afanasieff recently said on the Hot Takes & Deep Dives with Jess Rothschild podcast that stories of Carey writing the hit Christmas song on her Casio keyboard as a child was nothing more than tall tales, in a report by The New York Post.

However, Carey's representative told The Post: “Mariah has never claimed to write ‘All I Want for Christmas’ by herself or as a child. She has always credited Walter, as he is cited as a writer on the song, so that would be ridiculous,” Carey’s rep told The Post.

“Not sure where that rumour came from, but Mariah is very respectful of writers and the craft, as she is a songwriter herself.”

Brenda Lee's 1958 festive hit, Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, jumped from #7 to #2 this week, while in #3 is Wham!’s Last Christmas.

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas by Canadian crooner Michael Bublé claims #4 as Ariana Grande rounds out the top five with Santa Tell Me.

Taylor Swift continues to dominate the ARIA Album charts in the New Year with Midnights, released back in October, is still at #1.

Michael Bublé's Christmas, originally released in 2011, returned to album charts this festive season, claiming #2 on the charts.

In #3 is SZA and her sophomore studio album SOS, followed by Harry Style's in #4 with Harry's House.

Rounding out the top #5 is The Weeknd's 2021 second greatest hits album, The Highlights, featuring hits such as Save Your Tears, Blinding Lights, Can't Feel My Face and I Feel It Coming
