Ash London joins Newcastle’s Hit106.9 as Jess Farchione goes on maternity leave

On Friday, Newcastle’s Hit106.9’s breakfast show Nick, Jess & Ducko saw Nick Gill and Nick ‘Ducko’ Ducat farewell their co-host, Jess Farchione, as she temporarily departs for maternity leave. In her absence, the trio have announced that Ash London will join Nick and Ducko for breakfast for the remainder of the year.

No stranger to the Hit Network, Ash has hosted multiple shows including Take 40 Australia, 2Day FM Breakfast, Shazam Top 20, Summer Breakfast and the award-winning national night’s show, Ash London LIVE.

Jess said: “I am giddy with excitement for the Hit family to have this woman back in their lives for a few months while I go on maternity leave. Newcastle is in for a treat with Ash on the show!”

Ash said: “I’m stoked to fill in for the amazing Jess as she embarks on this incredible adventure! What an honour to keep her seat warm alongside the fellas and chat to Newy every morning. Bring it on!"

Ash London will join the team from Monday, 9 October.

Ash London made her return to radio – after stepping down from Ash London LIVE when she had her own baby – last year filling in on ARN's Will and Woody. She spent two weeks on air as usual co-host Will McMahon went on paternity leave
