Last night GOLD 104.3 listeners from across Melbourne braved the wet and cold conditions to dine completely naked with strangers.

In the very first restaurant of its kind – Jo & Lehmo’s Nude Food, Australia’s First Naked Restaurant opened its doors, taking over The Noble Experiment in Smith St, Collingwood for the evening.

Jo & Lehmo’s Nude Food came about after the pair learned of London’s first nude restaurant Bunyadi which has over 30,000 people on the waiting list. Nude Food is all about celebrating healthy and positive body image, from the different shapes and sizes to those affected by disease and injury – and guests last night included cancer survivors – to parents who want to promote a healthy body image for their kids, to those who fully embrace a nude lifestyle!

Lehmo said: “Everybody was in such a good mood, I was nervous for the people who were doing it but they went down there, they got their kit off, they enjoyed it. We had partitions up between all the tables, they pulled the partitions down. They were all swapping tables by the end of the night. It was a full party.”

Attendee Alison Zarafa (pictured below), who is in remission from cancer, enjoyed the experience and explained: “The way I look at it, it’s OK to have fear but don’t let fear stop you. I fought an extremely long and hard battle for a year and these days I look at life extremely differently, and I’m blessed every single day of my life. I have an amazing family, friends and partner and a gorgeous son, and I look at a life with experiences now. I want to look back when I’m old and I want to laugh about the things I’ve done, and this is one of them”
