Avengers still #1 despite 50% slumping + Unfriended debuts to a strong opening

For the second successive weekend Avengers: Age Of Ultron has accounted for more than 50% of the earnings of the week's top 20 movies. The film remains a clear #1 again this week with takings of $7.80m, down 50% on its opening weekend of $15.70m. The superhero tribute continues to be shown on just over 750 screens for a weekend screen average of $10,388. Age Of Ultron's total takings now sit at $28.71m.

The horror movie Unfriended had a strong opening with 185 screens and a screen average just under $7,000 securing its second spot on the chart with a haul of $1.26m.

The third movie to take over $1m this week was Fast And Furious 7 with $1.04m from just under 300 screens. The total earn of FF7 to-date sees it on $41.81m.

Rounding out the top five at #4 is Cinderella with another $495,000 (total to-date $21.41m) and at #5 The Age Of Adaline on $419,000 ($2.07m).

Just slipping out of the top five in its third week is Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 at #6 with $379,000 and a total of $2.97m.
