Banijay Rights has named Lottie Wilson as Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, as the company strengthens its presence across the region. Based in Sydney, Wilson will oversee sales strategy and manage the exploitation of Banijay’s 205,000-hour global catalogue across both markets.

Wilson joins from BBC Studios, where she most recently served as Head of Acquisitions, Branded Services, ANZ. Since 2015, she held various senior roles focused on acquisitions and strategic direction for the company’s branded content services in the region.

In her new position, Wilson will report to Lyle Bettson-Barker, SVP Australia and New Zealand, Banijay Rights. Bettson-Barker said, “With more than 15 years’ experience in the international television industry, Lottie is one of those rare executives with ample experience across sales, acquisitions and branded services. We’re in no doubt she will be an incredible addition to our global sales team as we look to grow our business in both Australia and New Zealand even further.”

Wilson added, “I have long admired Banijay Rights’ innovative approach to business so to join its industry-renowned team is a real privilege. I look forward to exploring new opportunities across our ever-expanding catalogue in these two key markets.”

Led globally by CEO Cathy Payne, Banijay Rights represents a broad portfolio of formats and scripted content including titles such as Survivor, Big Brother, MasterChef, Peaky Blinders, and Black Mirror.
