NOVA Entertainment has announced that long-running Australian podcast Better Than Yesterday with Osher Günsberg will join the Nova Podcast Network, effective immediately.

First launched in 2013, Better Than Yesterday has become one of Australia’s most established podcasts, building a loyal national audience through consistent, thoughtful conversations focused on personal development, mental fitness and everyday improvement.

Hosted by best-selling author and television presenter Osher Günsberg, the weekly podcast delivers practical tools and reflective discussions designed to help listeners make “today a little better than yesterday”.

Built on honesty, curiosity and long-form conversation

Since its inception, Better Than Yesterday has stood out for its candid approach to mental health, growth and resilience, blending humour with substance and prioritising depth over trends.

Each week, Günsberg is joined by high-profile guests spanning entertainment, science, psychology, sport and culture, with conversations designed to demystify complex ideas while remaining accessible and practical.

“I started this show in 2013 because I wasn’t hearing the kind of conversations I needed to hear when I was struggling,” said Günsberg.

“Conversations that not only acknowledged the challenges we all face from time to time but also offered hope for that person who is in the difficult place that I was.”

A new chapter with Nova Podcasts

Günsberg said joining the Nova Podcast Network marks an exciting next phase for the show.

“I’m incredibly excited to bring Better Than Yesterday to the Nova Podcast Network. The team are just brilliant, with a passion for building audiences through world-class content,” he said.

“I am thrilled about what more we can do to honour the time our audience spends with me. And yes, I still can’t believe they let me do this either!”

Over more than a decade, the podcast has featured interviews with a wide range of guests, including Robert Irwin, Jonathan Haidt, Mel B, Melissa Etheridge, Darren Hayes, Courtney Act, Steven Pinker, Mark Manson, Dannii Minogue and Peter Garrett, among hundreds of others.

Enduring format, evolving platform

Nova Podcasts Network Director Rachel Corbett said the show’s longevity reflects the strength of its connection with listeners.

“Better Than Yesterday is one of the most enduring podcasts in Australia, and that’s a credit to Osher’s consistency, passion and the care he puts into every conversation,” Corbett said.

“He’s been showing up for his audience since 2013, long before podcasting became mainstream, and he’s built a community that genuinely values the discussions he leads.

“Bringing the show into the Nova Podcasts family is a proud moment for us, and we’re looking forward to supporting its next chapter.”
