Boy George will join The Voice Australia in 2017 as a coach alongside Seal and Delta Goodrem, Nine announced this morning.

The "Karma Chameleon" singer, whose career spans more than 30 years, accumulated worldwide sales in excess of 150 million albums and singles, both as a singer and songwriter with Culture Club and as a solo artist.

The announcement was made on this morning's Today show, with Boy George making a surprise appearance on one of The Voice's famous spinning red chairs.

"I am super excited to be doing The Voice in Australia, because I know they can take a bit of banter and I won’t be holding back. The UK season was a warm-up and I am ready to sprinkle some pop-tastic glitter dust all over the show," Boy George said.

Boy George performed on the AACTA Awards last night where he also talked about his new US TV challenge as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice which has a new host – Arnold Schwarzenegger – replacing Donald Trump who has a new job.
