The two SCA stations have swapped rankings this survey with B105 now #2. Hughesy and Ed in drive have the highest share with 12.9% (-0.5) while breakfast was down 0.8 to 10.2% where it ranks #3 behind Nova and 4BC. Big demo swings all over the place with 18-24 up 3.5 to 23.9% and 40-54 up 3.8 to 10.3%.

104.5 Triple M 10.1% (10.5%)

Cume 405,000 (-3,000)
2019 results: Best/worst
Best 10+ 12.4% (10.0%)
Best breakfast 11.7% (10.2%)

A drop in breakfast of 0.6 to 9.8% led the trend down across the station. Triple M lost half its audience 18-24 as share dropped from 10.5% to 5.2%. The station remains #1 40-54 with share steady just under 18.0%.

4BC 9.5% (7.1%)

Cume 174,000 (+18,000)
2019 results: Best/worst
Best 10+ 7.8% (5.5%)
Best breakfast 9.4% (6.4%)

The station has cracked double figures in breakfast with Neil Breen and is close to it for the 10+ share, both milestones that haven’t happened for a long, long time. Ray Hadley has lifted morning share higher into double figures, improving on his 11.2% last survey to 13.8% this time. The big crowds are all 55+ with shares of 8.4% 55-64 and 65+ on 28.8%, up some 8.0 if you don’t mind!

97.3FM 9.3% (10.5%)

Cume 477,000 (-14,000)
2019 results: Best/worst
Best 10+ 12.5% (9.0%)
Best breakfast 11.2% (9.0%)

Share was down 1.2 which seems to indicate the station might have lost its way. Especially when you consider this is the lowest 10+ share in over five years. Breakfast also took a hit, down to 9.0%, which is the equal lowest in five years.

4KQ 7.1% (9.2%)

Cume 253,000 (-16,000)
2019 results: Best/worst
Best 10+ 10.5% (7.9%)
Best breakfast 10.5% (8.2%)

Recent growth has stopped as this AM music station too has posted its lowest 10+ share in over five years. That makes it a deadly double for ARN this survey. Expect the network execs in town when those borders are finally opened. The biggest drops were in breakfast (-2.5) and morning (-4.0).

4BH 1.1% (1.6%)

Cume 70,000 (-2,000)

Share dropped at the station as it beds in the return of a music format. Breakfast and weekend are the only dayparts where share climbs over 1%, but not by much.
