Brisbane Radio Ratings 2021, Survey 4: 97.3 FM makes dramatic move up to #2

• Nova is still the #1 station Brisbane

Nova has maintained the #1 spot that it secured in the last survey besides a slight dip in its 10+ share.

This is thanks in part to AshKipLuttsy and Susie keeping their breakfast share steady and staying #1. The trio is 1.8 points clear of the competition

Despite being down 0.8 points Nova continues to control drive time with the national program of KateTim and Joel #1 with a 14.5% share.

In the demographics, Nova has lost some of its control of the under 40 market finishing #1 in 10-17 but losing the top spot in 18-24 and 25-39 to B105.

it only took a 0.4 point upswing for 97.3FM to go from #5 to #2 in a single survey.

97.3FM’s has returned to the postive trend that the station had earlier in the year after a rough end to 2020, where it finished with an 8.8% share, its lowest result in over five years.

All dayparts were up, led by breakfast (0.7) and mornings (0.9) with the biggest increases.

In breakfast, RobinTerry & Bob moved up to the #3 commercial station after finishing #5 in survey 3.

Will and Woody‘s national drive show finished second.

 Triple M has stayed in the third spot in Brisbane, as its breakfast show The Big Breakfast with Marto and Margaux moved up to the #2 commercial breakfast show, after going up 0.8 points.

However, the station is no longer #1 in the morning daypart after being beaten out by 97.3 FM.

The national drive show Molloy was up 0.9 points moving it to #3 in the rankings. 

The station has snatched back the 40-54 demo after missing out to 97.3 FM in the last survey. Triple M now has a share of 16.6% for the demo.

4KQ 9.3% (10.3%)

4KQ has dropped down to the #4 spot after losing 1.0 points, being leapfrogged by 97.3 FM and Triple M.

The biggest decline for 4KQ continues to come in the breakfast slot with Laurel, Gary & Mark down 1.2 points, this follows the trio losing 1.7 points in Survey 3. 

The station maintained its dominance on weekends as well as with older audiences being #1 in 55-64 and 65+.

After finishing #1 in survey 2, the station has now dropped to #5 in Survey 4.

The station’s breakfast show of Stav, Abby & Matt has come in as the #4 commercial show in Brisbane with 9.3%.

Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have slipped to #4 in drive, after finishing equal #2 in the last survey.

The station went kaboom in the 18-24 demo, up 5.8 points for a 22.0% share. The station also maintained the top spot for 25-39.

4BC 6.4% (6.4%)

Best Breakfast 10.6% (8.2%)

4BC remains the #6 commercial station after keeping its share the same as survey 3 with 6.4%.

Breakfast with Neil Breen has remained the #6 commercial show in its timeslot losing 0.9 points.

While drive with Scott Emerson was also the #6 commercial program in its daypart.

The station has remained steady as it continues the return of an all-music format.
