Seven's chief marketing and audience officer, Melissa Hopkins, announced on Friday night that the broadcaster would be entering into a strategic partnership with VaynerMedia.

The announcement was made during a panel hosted by The Brag editor in chief, Poppy Reid, at the Variety CMO Dinner, headlined by Gary Vaynerchuk (aka Gary Vee).

Speaking to the room, Hopkins, said: “Seven has a bold ambition to reshape how Australians interact and connect with its brand. We couldn't be more proud to collaborate with Gary Vaynerchuk's VaynerMedia to push the marketing boundaries and set new standards.”

Vaynerchuk is often cited as one of the leading global minds in business, who can foresee, interpret, and distil future trends. He is also a master at growing brands, leveraging consumer insights and spotting emerging companies worthy of attention and investment.

The inaugural Twilio Segment Variety Australia CMO Dinner brought together some of the country’s top entertainment, tech, and business CMOs for a night of networking and entertainment.

Ahead of the event, The Brag Media’s CEO, Luke Girgis, said: “The Variety CMO Dinner is one of the most exclusive and sought-after invites in the USA, and so we are thrilled to bring that experience to life for Australian CMOs. Like all our Brag Media events, we plan to make each detail of the night a can’t miss.

“Gary Vee is the global marketing thought leader; he can see around corners years before most, and those that act on his predictions and advice gain competitive advantages in their industry,” Girgis added. “There is no one better we could have booked for the inaugural Twilio Variety Australia CMO dinner. We are thrilled to have Gary speak to the best Australian CMOs.”
