Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has announced Carla Vella (pictured) will return to the business as head of radio sales, Sydney, effective Monday 10th August 2015. Vella will focus on driving the sales strategy across the entire Sydney radio portfolio and delivering integrated sales solutions across all SCA assets.

After a short time with Network Ten, Vella returns to take on a more senior role where she will continue to provide commercial insights, innovative solutions and integrated ideation.

With a media career spanning over 11 years, Vella has worked extensively across out-of-home, metropolitan and regional radio networks, free to air television and digital. Possessing a strong retail and media sales background has seen Vella working with some of Australia’s largest media agencies and clients including Foxtel, Telstra and Woolworths.

Southern Cross Austereo chief sales officer Brian Gallagher said: "I'm looking forward to Carla rejoining SCA. She comes highly recommended both internally from the SCA team and externally by our clients. She is a natural fit for a company that is aggressively chasing growth. I'm looking forward to Carla playing a key role in the development of a great Australian media company."

Vella said: “I'm absolutely thrilled to be returning to a business I know and love in an expanded leadership capacity working across the entire radio business. Radio continues to demonstrate its relevance and ability to deliver immediate results for clients. It's going to be a huge year for our business and it's a privilege to be a part of it.”
