Cartelux appoints Google's Mathew Pretel as its new head of product

Cartelux has welcomed Mathew Pretel as its new head of product.

Pretel joins the ad-tech company to support its next growth phase from Google, where he was its advertising solutions architect.

Cartelux expanded into the Americas at the beginning of the year and will enter the African market in the coming month.

Now, the ad-tech company has a global reach and is adding new features to its advertising software that will ultimately allow it to expand into further categories besides its current focus on the automotive industry.

Cartelux has invented cutting-edge software that enables advertisers to target and optimise their ad campaigns with unparalleled precision and efficiency, and personalise the message for local distribution.
 
The company’s automated marketing platform manages the relationship between big brand owners and their downstream local retail partners, and enables improved marketing efforts.
 
Cartelux and Google have a longstanding partnership that connects the best of both worlds: Google's world-class targeting capabilities and Cartelux’s expertise in retail marketing automation.

During Pretel's 12-year tenure at Google he was senior advertising solutions architect and the technical lead for a Google News Initiative sponsored program that helped accelerate digital maturity of publishers across APAC. He worked as a product manager at the 'next billion users program', a Google initiative in emerging countries. Before that, Mathew was head of professional services for digital publishers in Australia and New Zealand.
