Chris Sebastian to helm the theme song for the new era of Neighbours on 10 and Prime Video

Chris Sebastian, winner of Season 9 of The Voice Australia (2020) has unveiled the newest rendition of the beloved Neighbours theme song, ushering in a fresh sound for a new era.
A melody that has resonated with viewers for over 37 years, the Neighbours theme song holds a special place in the hearts of Australians and fans worldwide, and Chris Sebastian's take on the iconic tune sets the tone of modern-day nostalgia.
Chris Sebastian said: “When I was told the Neighbours team were going to use my voice for the new season theme song, I was shocked and of course over the moon. I have grown up with that soundtrack and I still can't quite believe that this is real. Neighbours, we are all so glad you are back, it hasn't been the same without our friends. I hope you guys love my version of the theme song as much as I loved recording it for you."
Earlier this month, Amazon Freevee and Prime Video released the official trailer for the new chapter of Neighbours.
The series will launch on Prime Video Australia and New Zealand on Monday, 25 September. This will follow the series premiere on Amazon Freevee and Network 10 on Monday 18 September.
In Australia, Network 10 retains first-run rights for the series, and episodes will be available ad-free on Prime Video seven days later.

The continuation of the long-running series—about the lives, loves, and challenges of the residents on Ramsay Street in Erinsborough, Australia, a fictional suburb of Melbourne—will pick up two years after the finale in 2022.
The new series will star Alan Fletcher, Annie Jones, Candice Leask, Emerald Chan, Georgie Stone, Jackie Woodburne, Lloyd Will, Lucinda Armstrong Hall, Lucinda Cowden, Marley Williams, Naomi Rukavina, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Riley Bryant, Ryan Moloney, Sara West, Shiv Palekar, Stefan Dennis, Tim Kano, and Xavier Molyneux as series regulars. April Rose Pengilly, Guy Pearce, Ian Smith, Jodi Gordon, Melissa Bell, Mischa Barton, and Trevor the Dog will feature as guest stars.
