Seven's Craig McPherson returns to Seven as news & public affairs chief

The Seven Network has confirmed the signing of Craig McPherson as director of news and public affairs.

McPherson will have management responsibility for Seven News, Sunday Night, Sunrise, The Morning Show, The Daily Edition and Today Tonight in that program’s two major metropolitan markets, Perth and Adelaide.

McPherson – who has previously enjoyed a long and successful career in news and public affairs at the Seven Network – rejoins after a stint at the Nine Network.

Commenting, Tim Worner, CEO of Seven West Media, said: “I am pleased to be working again with Craig. He’s a great operator. He has a passion for news and public affairs and is driven by success. I look forward to him once again being a vital part of Seven.”

Seven's director of news Rob Raschke will report to McPherson as will other program EPs.
