Nova 106.9 has thrown a lifeline to leading post production house, the Cutting Edge Group, whose Brisbane studios were inundated in the recent floods.

Nova Brisbane reached out to the team with an offer to become roommates when they heard the ground floor of Cutting Edge's West End facilities were damaged.

Kylee Ratz, Cutting Edge Group general manager said the whole team was grateful for the space as the floods hit them during one of the busiest times for the Brisbane office.

"Our team has been lucky to continue business as usual through this time with the help of Nova's sound studios and their fabulous team," Ratz said.

"Not only have we been able to keep delivering projects for our clients, but we also love hanging out with our new roomies!"

Luke McKew, national technology operations manager for the Nova Entertainment Group, said it had been a big week shifting things around to accommodate their new roommates.

"Nova was displaced by the floods back in 2011 so we all remember what it feels like to have your working world physically upturned while still under pressure to deliver the job; which is why we were very keen to invite Cutting Edge to use our space while they get back on their feet," McKew said.

"I'd especially like to thank the Nova creative team for shifting desks and vacating studios so that Cutting Edge can get back to work!"

Nova officially welcomed Cutting Edge into their building on Monday 14th March, handing over keys, exclusive use of a production booth, and tips on working the coffee machine.
