The move that comes amid fresh tensions at the AFL club’s executive level.

Stan executive director Dan Taylor is leaving the streaming business to take on a leadership role at the Melbourne Football Club, in a move that comes amid fresh tensions at the AFL club’s executive level.
The appointment was confirmed by Eddie McGuire on Nine, who praised Taylor’s credentials, describing him as “a bloke with tremendous credentials”.
While details of his new role at Melbourne have not been formally outlined, the move signals a strategic pivot by the club as it looks to bolster its executive ranks.
The appointment comes against a backdrop of instability at Melbourne, following the recent leadership developments involving CEO Paul Guerra.
In comments to Nine, Guerra said he was blindsided by the board’s decision and confirmed he had sought legal advice.
