Dancing With The Stars coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus 1

The new season of Dancing With The Stars will see celebrities, glittery costumes and magical moves make their way back to the dancefloor premiering Sunday, 18 June on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Hosted by Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, the new season will see a brand new batch of celebrities compete for their chosen charity and the prized Dancing With The Stars mirror ball trophy. 

The 2023 Dancing With The Stars line-up is:

• Charlie Albone – Better Homes and Gardens Landscaper
• Christie Whelan Browne – Actor
• Emily Weir – Home and Away Actor
• Gavin Wanganeen – AFL legend
• Issa Schultz – The Chase Australia Supernerd
• James Magnussen – Olympic Medallist
• Laura Byrne – Podcaster and radio host
• Mary Coustas – Comedian and actor
• Matt Preston – Presenter and food journalist
• Paulini – Performer
• Phil Burton – Singer
• Pia Miranda – Actor
• Sally Pearson – Olympic Gold Medallist and 7News presenter
• Virginia Gay – Actor

After weeks of intensive training, the celebrities will face the scrutiny of the judging panel Craig Revel Horwood, Sharna Burgess, Todd McKenney and Mark Wilson.

Craig Revel Horwood 

Craig Revel Horwood

Travelling all over the world, Craig has starred in Moulin Rouge, Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as directed and choreographed leading productions including West Side Story, Miss Saigon and Guys and Dolls.

Craig is best known for being a judge on all 20 seasons of Strictly Come Dancing in the UK. This will be Craig’s third season as judge on Dancing With The Stars Australia.

Sharna Burgess

Sharna Burgess

Sharna has performed in the UK theatre tour of Simply Ballroom, as well as a six-year stint in the hit dance sensation Burn The Floor, including on West End and Broadway, where Sharna was an original member of the American cast.

Sharna has been part of the Dancing With The Stars family both in the USA and Australia, for over 14 seasons. During Sharna’s time as a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars she has danced with her now husband Brian Austin Green; as well as NFL player Josh Norman and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. In 2018, Sharna took home the coveted mirror ball trophy alongside American radio personality Bobby Bones.

Todd McKenney

Todd McKenney

Todd’s dance journey started at the age of three at his mother’s dancing school in Perth, training in jazz, tap, acrobatics and Ballroom dancing. He represented Australia in ballroom and Latin American dancing, winning multiple international titles.

His stage credits include his most notable role of Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz, in which he performed over 1,000 shows nationally.

Mark Wilson

Mark Wilson

Mark has adjudicated in most major championships in Australia, including the Tattersall’s Australian DanceSport Championship. He also runs the largest dance studio across DanceSport and theatrical dance in Queensland, where Mark continues to train future champions.

This is Mark’s 13th season as a judge on Dancing With The Stars.

Dancing With The Stars is produced by BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand, from a format created by the BBC and distributed by BBC Studios.
