Is Foxtel planning Aussie E! Fashion Police with Alex Perry & Joel Creasey?

Foxtel is believed to be developing an Australian version of Fashion Police, the hit E! US format show that Joan and Melissa Rivers built into a successful franchise.

Although Foxtel has yet to commission the series, Mediaweek believes auditions are being held with a plan to film a pilot episode.

Although some of the people involved featured in a special one-off Brownlow Medal Fashion Police special several years ago, it is believed the new show has nothing to do with that production. That special had a few problems, but wasn't nearly as bad as some imagined it was. The cast involved back then included Alex Perry, Melissa Hoyer, Peter Morrissey and Charlotte Dawson.

Names being mentioned as potential regulars for the Australian version include Alex Perry and Melissa Hoyer, plus Joel Creasey and Pip Edwards.

The Australian production company Matchbox Pictures, owned by NBC Universal – the home of Fashion Police in the US, is making the Australian edition.

The show in the US is now hosted and produced by Melissa Rivers with a panel that includes Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, NeNe Leakes and Margaret Cho. A special US Fashion Police on the Grammy Awards will screen this week on E!.
