Kent "Smallzy" Small, host of Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery, made the announcement last night on his program. “The addition of Ed Sheeran to Nova’s Fresh Discovery proves how seriously Nova and Warner take this search to find the next great talent," said Smallzy.
"My friendship with Ed led to Nova’s discovering and playing Passenger and Hozier and I can’t wait for Ed to work his magic on an unsigned Australian talent.”
Nova, Warner Music and Rumble joined forces to create Nova’s Fresh Discovery – a national search to find Australia’s next star. With the competition launching last week, hundreds of talented unsigned artists and bands have already entered via the website www.freshdiscovery.com.au. The live auditions will commence around the country from tomorrow in Perth and conclude in Sydney on Sunday.
The winner of Nova’s Fresh Discovery will receive a recording deal with Warner Music and a mentoring session with Ed Sheeran, one of the world’s biggest artists. The winner will be announced in Smallzy’s Surgery on Friday 27 March. Further details here.
