nextmedia has announced that Blunt magazine will redirect its focus from a print publishing model to a digital platform, providing readers with the same content and more, free and accessible 24/7, at bluntmag.com.au in Australia and blunt.us in the United States.

Following a readership trend that has seen unique browsers on the site increase by over 500% in the past 12 months, bluntmag.com.au is set to become Australia’s premier alternative music and lifestyle hub, with a non-stop feed of news, interviews, reviews, videos, streaming content and giveaways.

“With digital, Blunt has never had more direct and instant access to its ever-growing audience. We’ve spent the past four years expanding our online presence through social media, directing our audience to the website and finding out what makes them tick. We’re super active on the platforms they live and breathe – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube – and we’re front row at every show, screaming our lungs out with the best of them,” explained Blunt editor Emily Swanson.

“With this transition, we’ll be well placed to provide a distinct and committed service to our loyal demographic, while further adapting to meet our clients’ changing needs.”

The brand’s posterbook series, Blunt Posters, remains in print and combines the Blunt and Twistedbrands.
