Nova's Fitzy and Wippa sabotage Mediaweek interview, stitch up our Dep Ed

"I thought you were high!"

While audiences around the world seem to love watching people get stitched up on shows like Punk'd or Ellen, they rarely consider that they might be part of one. Well, that's exactly what happened to Mediaweek's own deputy editor Kruti Joshi last week, courtesy of Nova breakfast show presenters Fitzy and Wippa.

Joshi was visiting the Nova Sydney offices in Pyrmont to talk to the pair about the year ahead, after being told they would be making a big announcement. Unawares, she was ushered into a conference room by the show's EP Tom Ivey. While all seemed normal at first, it soon became clear that something was not quite right... with Wippa's responses including doing the "Gangnam Style" dance, and saying he did not "give a stuff" about the Nova breakfast team. (It turns out Fitzy was in his ear telling him what to say).

Joshi's conclusion? "I thought you were high!"

Read more about Joshi's experience in this week's Mediaweek magazine.
