Foxtel shows receive 217 Primetime Emmy nominations

Foxtel shows have accounted for 217 Primetime Emmy nominations across its drama, comedy, entertainment, factual and kids offerings.

Game of Thrones (FOX SHOWCASE) has received 32 nominations, the most for any program in a single season, which includes 10 nominations for cast contributions across five performer categories. This includes Kit Harington who has been nominated for lead actor in a drama series and Emilia Clarke also received a nomination for lead actress in a drama series. Overall the series has now received a total of 161 nominations over its eight season run.

Other standouts include: 

Chernobyl (FOX SHOWCASE) received 19 nominations, including Jared Harris for lead actor in a limited series or movie.
Fosse/Verdon (FOX SHOWCASE) received 17 nominations, including Sam Rockwell for lead actor in a limited series or movie and  Michelle Williams also received a nomination for lead actress.
Barry (FOX SHOWCASE) picked up 17 nominations, including outstanding comedy series and a lead actor in a comedy series nomination for Bill Hader.
Pose (FOX SHOWCASE) was awarded a nomination in the outstanding drama series category, including Billy Porter who was nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama series.

The 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live and exclusively on FOX8 direct from Los Angeles on Monday, September 23 at 10 am. The telecast will also be available to stream on Foxtel.

Also, on Monday, September 23, E! Channel will broadcast its E! Live from the Red Carpet: The 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards special from 8 am LIVE.
