Foxtel to bring Outlander star to Sydney

Foxtel is bringing the star of the international hit series Outlander to Sydney this month

Foxtel is bringing Scottish actor Sam Heughan, star of the international hit series Outlander, to Sydney this month ahead of the second season premiering Express from the US on SoHo in April.

Heughan will be in Sydney 21-22 March.

He plays 18th century Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser alongside Caitriona Balfe as Outlander’s time-travelling heroine Claire Randall/Fraser.

Filming has just wrapped in the UK on the second season of 13 episodes, based on the second of eight books in Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling Outlander series, entitled Dragonfly in Amber.  

Ronald D. Moore, Jim Kohlberg, Andy Harries, Maril Davis, Ira Steven Behr, Toni Graphia and Anne Kenney serve as executive producers of Outlander, which is produced by Tall Ship Productions, Story Mining & Supply Company and Left Bank Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television.
