For the first time, Freeview has been shortlisted for an award at the globally recognised Videonet Connected TV Awards 2015.

The shortlist, announced June 3, has seen Freeview’s hybrid TV platform FreeviewPlus achieve accolades in the "Best TV/Video Service update or launch" category for its green button HbbTV service which includes broadband delivered catchup.

The nomination follows Freeview being the first Australian entrant to win the "Best Enhanced TV Service" award category at the prestigious International Interactive TV Awards in March.
