GQ Australia has confirmed its partner line-up for the 2025 GQ Men of the Year Awards, addressing the key question for industry watchers: who is backing the event as it returns to Sydney this December?

The Awards, now in their seventeenth year, will take place on Wednesday 17 December at Cargo Hall, Overseas Passenger Terminal.

The night recognises leaders across culture, fashion, entertainment and innovation, and remains one of the most commercially significant events in the men’s lifestyle market.

Returning and new partners

Belvedere Vodka, Defender (part of Jaguar Land Rover), Rabanne and W Sydney all return in 2025. They will be joined by new partner Uniqlo, marking the brand’s first involvement with the franchise.

The event will again be produced by experiential agency The World Of, working alongside the News Corp Australia Events and Experiences team.

Award night details

The evening will be hosted by Australian comedian and television presenter Sam Taunton.

A special collector’s edition of GQ Men of the Year will be inserted in The Australian on Friday 19 December. The newspaper reaches more than 4.8 million readers monthly across platforms, providing significant amplification for commercial partners and winners.

Editorial and marketing integration

A national marketing and editorial campaign will support the Awards across GQ Australia channels, with additional reach through The Australian’s social platforms and the wider News network.

Jake Millar, GQ Australia editor-in-chief, said the 2025 edition would offer a standout experience. “Not only is our line-up of local and international winners a mix of some of the most talented, creative, exceptional individuals on the planet, but the event itself will be one to remember."

“After bringing GQ MOTY to Bondi Beach in 2023 and then the rugged cool of White Bay Power Station last year, for 2025 we are giving guests the best of both worlds, with an evening at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, an industrial space with views of the iconic Sydney Harbour and Opera House."

“I would like to thank our wonderful partners for GQ MOTY. This year's event will be supported by Belvedere Vodka, Defender, Rabanne, Uniqlo and W Sydney.”
