Gravity Media has partnered with Nine’s Wide World of Sports to deliver broadcast production and technology services for the 2025 NRLW Telstra Premiership, covering 34 games across the season.

The expanded coverage includes the inaugural NRLW Magic Round, held at Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium, where all 12 teams competed across one weekend. The event marked a milestone in the league’s continued growth, with Gravity Media deploying one of its high-definition outside broadcast trucks and a crew of 54.

Nine’s all-screens coverage is available across the 9Network and its streaming platform 9Now.

Simon Fordham, Head of Partnerships & Strategy at Nine, said: “We are excited to be working with Gravity Media across NRLW in 2025 as the women’s season expands with more teams and more matches than ever before. The first ever NRLW Magic Round in Newcastle is a key innovation of NRLW expansion and alongside Gravity we are looking forward to delivering a world class coverage to Australian and international audiences across the season.”

To meet the demands of the season-long coverage, Gravity Media is deploying a fleet of outside broadcast vehicles, feeding production into Nine’s Sydney headquarters.

Ben Madgwick, Sales Director at Gravity Media, added: “We are delighted to be working with Nine and providing Gravity Media’s broadcast and technology capabilities for this year’s NRLW. It is a great championship and we are committed to delivering an outstanding outcome for Nine and the NRLW.”

The deal builds on Gravity Media’s existing work with Nine, which includes major events such as the Melbourne Cup Carnival and Swimming Australia broadcasts. The company’s broader Australian sports portfolio spans the Australian Open, A-Leagues, Supercars Championship, and more.
