Kath & Kim are back for a special two-night special on Sunday, November 20, at 7 pm on Seven and 7plus.

The television event features freshly minted scenes with Kath, Kim, Sharon, Kel, Bretty, Marion, Prue and Trude, as well as some never-before-seen moments and too many bloopers and blunders to count on a washing glove-covered hand.

Coming along for the “roide of their loives” are Kylie MinogueMichael BubléAdam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Carson KressleyEric Bana, Stephen K. Amos, Matt Lucas, Mick MolloyStephen Page, Tony Martin, Richard E. Grant, Barry Humphries and a former prime minister.

This first part of the 20-year celebration also features a special tribute to Shane Warne, laugh-out-loud highlights from events such as the Logies and the AFL Grand Final and an 18-year-old Chris Hemsworth pashes on with Kath and Kimmy.

The following night sees the foxy ladies joined by a myriad of friends and stars to take a look deep inside the nooks and unexplored crannies of the Kath & Kim universe in Kath & Kim: 20 Preposterous Years.

Along the way, there will be more rarely-seen vision and goofs from the archives and hilarious behind-the-scenes highlights, dug out from more than 1,000 tapes and 240 shoot days.

Kath & Kim has enjoyed a resurgence in the “good rooms” of younger generations of Australians thanks to Netflix in 2019, and a renaissance among those who viewed the show when it premiered weekly on ABC and then later on Seven.

Executive producer Rick McKenna previously said: “It’s fascinating and delightful to see audiences around the world still loving Kath & Kim after 20 years. It was great fun getting the team back together, plenty of laughs all around, which we look forward to sharing very soon.”

Seven chief content officer of entertainment programming, Angus Ross, said: “Since I was a young lad, I’ve admired the elegance and poise of Kath Day-Knight – and her clowning glory.

“In fact, it’s safe to say she was my first crush. From high couture to yoga, Kath and Kim have had an immeasurable impact on the world. While I still find it difficult to look Kath in the eyes without blushing, it is an honour to be able to reunite them with their adoring fans.”
