The most valuable breakfast radio in Australia, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, was being run by an intern today.

On just the second week of their new contract with ARN, hosts Kyle and Jackie O were off air. The show started at 6am with audio of Kyle spewing up before Jackie said they should move on. (The audio is believed to have been from a previous show where Kyle vomited on air.)

Intern Pete was then on-air telling listeners about the next segment.

The show then proceeded with highlights with Intern Pete taking the controls, explaining Kyle was too ill to present today. Pete came back for updates during the show – including an unconfirmed report Sandilands has "pooed his pants". Some of the show's highlights also featured Intern Pete too. It was a festival of Intern Pete, also known as Peter Deppeler.

Our exclusive photo, taken at the launch of My Kitchen Rules last week, shows the Kyle and Jackie O Show's new executive producer Bruno Bouchet, Intern Pete, Mediaweek's James Manning and My Kitchen Rules' Manu Feildel.
