With the release of every radio ratings survey, there comes one major headline. For survey three, that headline was the fact that KIIS FM's Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O recorded their best result ever after surging up an additional 2.9 points for a total 10+ share of 17.9%.

The pair also recorded a cume of 921,000, a lift of 67,000 since survey two.

Notorious for their passion about their show and the ratings it records, the pair spoke about the results on air on Tuesday, with Sandilands getting particularly excited.

“I have got a hard on saying this. More listeners than ever before, it is almost like herpes,” Sandilands said.

“Herpes goes around the community, everyone has got the herps, welcome to the club, we are all the herpes club here.”

As he continued, Sandilands made a promise that listeners may or may not want him to fulfil.

“I have gone from a half chub to a full mongrel, just so you know, and that is how you know you’ve done well – when you are sitting at work with a massive hard on, it doesn’t get much better than that. It's pressed against these tight jeans.”

“If we pull a 20% share, I will jerk it off live on air.”

Of course, Sandilands wasn't done, sending a message to his on air competitors.

“I would be so disappointed if I worked at another station, they are just left behind. Some people listen but not many, if any. They might as well just go home, I really don’t understand how you could keep the doors open. In all honesty, it is sad. It is pathetic.”

Radio ratings survey four is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, July 11... for better or for worse, for those listening to Kyle Sandilands.
