2015 Highlight

Each year provides plenty of highlights but I reckon the story of everyday folk supporting, rescuing and motivating each other does it for me. Sure, it won’t make world news but local people looking after a mate in need continue to inspire. Stories of courage and commitment in rescuing people from fires in Esperance in late 2015 are typical of this spirit.

2015 Lowlight

In one word – TERROR. Individuals that believe killing and injuring innocent people in the name of their God took it to another level this year. The world reacted in dismay, then anger and ultimately defiance.

Story of the year

Paris.
