My favourite two marie claire covers of 2017 promoted an issue very close to our hearts: marriage equality. For years, marie claire has passionately pushed for the legalisation of same-sex marriage and in June we partnered with Airbnb for the national “Until We All Belong” campaign. We enlisted the support of 15 prominent Australians for a 10-page portfolio.

Actor Jessica Marais agreed to appear on the cover – as a fierce supporter of marriage equality, she was the perfect choice. Months later, we decided to take a leap of faith and produce a limited-edition “Australia says yes!” cover-wrap. Our December cover hit metro stands within 24 hours of the news. It was fantastic to be able to celebrate this history-making moment.
