Title: Wish
Edition: October 2015 – 10th Birthday Issue
Price: Free! (After you buy the Friday edition of The Australian)
Pages: 116 pages (47 ad pages)
Cover lines that work: Birthday issue – that's all there is really on this newspaper inserted title
Editor: David Meagher
Publisher: News Corp Australia

Wish is always a good read and makes buying the Friday newspaper on the day it is published extra good value. Anything printed on this quality stock on their jumbo pages looks better – especially the assortment of watches, cars, fancy clothes and great cities that regularly fill the pages.

As we noted earlier this week, ad revenue was up 26% at the title and this edition might just help push that stat higher in the next 12 months with an impressive 11 ad spreads before you get to contents.

Editor David Meagher tells readers today that the birthday edition is not about looking back, instead Wish is celebrating by applauding the success of others.
Editorial in this special edition includes a great feature from the editor on Judy Davis with some great photos from Graham Shearer. Other people featured include Marc Newsome, Justin Hemmes, fashion curator Judith Clark and Kate Miller-Heidke.

The most ambitious article is probably The X Ten, which gathers together the CEOs of 10 luxury brands at Luke Mangan's Glass Brasserie in Sydney.

The feature on London's restored hotel The Lanesborough is fun too as the editor details its "regency opulence" in words and photos.

At the back of the book are regular pages on fashion, food, grooming, drinking, hotels and travel.
