There has been another departure from the senior ranks at Foxtel.

Following the recent departures of executive director of channel aggregation and wholesale Deanne Weir and Foxtel’s director of content commercialisation Sharb Farjami, another key executive has stepped down – managing director of customer and retail Mark Buckman.

"It is with sadness that I announce that Mark Buckman has taken the decision to leave Foxtel," Foxtel CEO Peter Tonagh told staff yesterday. Buckman is on leave shortly for a couple of weeks and will then leave the subscription TV platform in mid-December.

Buckman joined Foxtel 18 months ago to head up the combined customer and retail portfolio, bringing together sales and marketing and customer experience teams.

Tonagh continued: "Under Mark's leadership we have made significant change in the customer-facing parts of our business. This includes the reset of the Foxtel brand with a new identity and new positioning (Foxtel for Everyone), the successful launch of Foxtel Now, the significant boost to our data-driven marketing capability, the implementation of marvel/command centre, the rollout of our voice of the customer program and the acceleration of the digitisation of our customer processes. While Mark has been with us for only a relatively short time, it is clear that a great deal has been achieved."
