It was another strong year for the highest-rating host on the channel now owned by News Corp. Murray went on the road into regional markets prior to the 2016 election for his 9pm weekday hour (two hours next year), which helped build his audience. Immediately pre- and post-election he hardly ever seemed to be off air. Murray made the transition to a breakfast TV host too as he added weekend Sky News early morning hosting duties to his busy schedule.
