The Mediaweek 100 returns for 2025 with a broader lens and a renewed focus on the people shaping Australia’s media and marketing ecosystem.

More than just a roll-call of names, this year's list will capture the diverse mix of executives, creatives, innovators, and disruptors whose decisions and influence have defined the industry over the past 12 months.

This year’s event, on Friday October 24, 2025 at Crown Sydney, introduces new categories designed to reflect the changing shape of the media landscape.

New format

For 2025, the Mediaweek 100 adopts a bold new format: five themed lists, each profiling 20 influential leaders. This refreshed structure expands industry representation and recognises the many ways power and impact are expressed across the media landscape.

Power 20

Recognising Australia’s most influential executives setting the course for the media industry. These leaders shape the strategic agenda, forge major partnerships, and drive business outcomes at scale, steering the direction of the entire sector.

Innovation 20

Honouring the visionaries reimagining the intersection of media, marketing, and technology. From launching new platforms and formats to pioneering product development or internal change, these innovators are redefining how the industry operates.

Influence 20

Spotlighting leaders who not only make headlines but shape the narrative. These public-facing executives and talent use their visibility, communication skills, and cultural relevance to influence how the industry is perceived—both within the sector and by the wider public.

Impact 20

Acknowledging the leaders driving meaningful, lasting change across their organisations and the broader industry. Whether championing diversity and inclusion, sustainability, mental health, leadership transformation, or cultural renewal, these individuals are setting the benchmark for modern leadership in 2025.

Agency 50

The Agency 50 is also going an exciting evolution, with new criteria based on merit, ingenuity and impact. Guided by a new advisory panel, the updated criteria ensure leaders from both major holding groups and independent agencies are recognised for their creativity, innovation, and measurable impact.

Submissions are encouraged for all categories, offering valuable insight into an individual’s achievements to support the editorial team’s review.

Mediaweek Icon, 2025

The Mediaweek Icon will be presented at the event to honour a titan of the industry whose career achievements have left a lasting impact on Australia’s media industry.
