Australia’s Got Talent returns with all-star judges, unbelievable must-see acts and a world-first twist coming to Channel Seven and 7plus at 7:00 pm on Sunday, 9 October.

Australia’s Got Talent features show-stopping performances that need to be seen to be believed, with the judges offering either a “yes from me” or buzz them out of contention.

The brand-new era of Australia’s Got Talent features a world-first twist that sees Aussie acts from all walks of life take on some of the globe’s best Got Talent acts vying to be crowned champion.

Multi-platinum-selling artist Ricki-Lee returns as host, guiding the acts backstage as a new wave of mind-blowing and awe-inspiring talent steps onto the stage.

Ricki-Lee said the most fulfilling part about hosting the show is being able to make people feel safe.

“There were a couple of young singers who were overwhelmed with nerves and were bawling their eyes out, so I just switched into mama bear mode and did whatever I could do to help calm the situation and make sure they had the confidence to nail their performances. Sometimes you just need a little bit of reassurance that everything is going to be okay,” she said.

She also teases the one performance that was a standout for her.

“My Golden Buzzer moment was a real standout for me. It was such a powerful performance that had the entire room in tears. I felt so privileged to be able to witness the performance and also to be able to get them one step closer to that $100,000 prize money because it will change their lives.”

Ricki-Lee added: “Expect the unexpected! You never know what is about to come out on that stage. One minute you have an incredible singer making everyone cry, the next a death-defying act making us all scream in fear.”

Australia’s Got Talent premieres Sunday, 9 October at 7:00 pm on Channel Seven and 7plus.
