After a five-month delay, the 75th annual Emmys have arrived to award outstanding achievements in acting, writing and directing in the world of Television.
The 75th Emmys ceremony will take place at 12:00 pm AEDT on Tuesday, January 16 on Foxtel and Binge.
The red carpet arrivals will start at 9:00 am AEDT.
The five-month delay of the ceremony came as a result of the Hollywood SAG-AFTRA and writer's strikes, which saw most actors and writers working in Hollywood striking for better working conditions and protections from emerging AI technologies, technologies that all major studios were eager to implement to save money.
Having the 2023 Emmys take place in 2024 has made way for a few interesting developments such as the eligibility requirement for shows.
For this year's Emmys, the eligibility requirement is any program that aired between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023, meaning even though Golden Globe favourite The Bear's second season was released in 2023, all of this year's Emmy nominations for culinary dramedy are for its first season.

Binge's Succession leads this year's nominations with 27 and expect the show to take out the biggest awards of the night. The fourth and final season of the mega-hit swept the Golden Globes last week, with Aussie Sarah Snook taking home Best Actress in a Drama Series, which she is also nominated for at the Emmys.
The Last of Us comes in second on the nomination tallies, with 24 nods. Pedro Pascal is nominated for Lead Actor in a Drama Series and is the only real threat to Succession favourite Kieran Culkin, who is the frontrunner in that category after winning the Golden Globe.

After Jo Koy's controversial hosting job at the Golden Globes, hosting duties for this year's Emmys are going to actor and comedian Anthony Anderson. He is best known for his lead role on the sitcom Black-ish and its spin-offs Mixed-ish and Grown-ish.
