Superstar chef Gordon Ramsay is making his way to Australian screens with Nine's brand new series, Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars.

Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars premieres Tuesday, March 26 at 7:30 pm on Nine and 9Now.

Celebrity chef Ramsay will be pitted against Australian business mogul Janine Allis as Australia's entrepreneur hopefuls pitch their food and drink ideas.

Ramsay and Allis will invest in their favourite 14 innovations, and mentor their founders.

The two teams will then have to fight to survive, competing in various high-pressure challenges. The losing team faces an intense grilling from Ramsay and Allis, resulting in an elimination.

The winning entrepreneur from each team will take home a cash prize of $250,000 investment, and a one-year mentorship program from either Ramsay or Allis.

“Viewers will see what Australia has in terms of Food Stars, and these businesses are going to surprise you,” Ramsay said.

Allis added: “Food Stars showcases some of these extraordinary concepts and products, and viewers will get to see just what they’re made of. It is one hell of a journey.”

Originally announced at Nine's Upfront in 2022, the show was scheduled to be released in 2023, however, was delayed a year. The same format is already broadcast in the UK and US.

Speaking to nine.com.au, Ramsay wasn't afraid to rate some of Australia's unique cuisine.

"I've been a secret admirer of Australia for decades," Gordon admitted. "At the age of 25 I had the chance of working here, the big worry was not coming home."

"Fairy bread? F--king disgusting," Gordon smirked. "I got served a couple of slices of bread with some f--king sprinkles on it and it was an Aussie phenomenon."

Though, Ramsay did confess his love for Vegemite.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars is produced by Endemol Shine Australia (A Banijay company) and Studio Ramsay Global (a FOX Entertainment company), for the 9Network.
