Medium Rare will be launching a new magazine in the homes category for distribution throughout Bunnings stores in Australia and New Zealand.

The new monthly publication, which will be available free of charge, will launch in Australia in March 2019 with a circulation of 500,000. A New Zealand edition, with a 100,000 circulation, will follow in July. A digital version will also be available on Bunnings Australia and New Zealand websites.

Medium Rare will also handle media sales for both versions of the magazine.

The launch editor will be Jane Parbury, a highly experienced editor, writer and digital content creator who has worked for many consumer and custom titles across the homes, interiors and lifestyle markets.

Most recently, Parbury was deputy editor at Home Beautiful. Previously, she edited Time Inc’s Ideal Home magazine, the UK’s best-selling homes magazine.

Medium Rare Content Agency MD Gerry Reynolds said: “We are delighted to be working with Bunnings to develop content that will help their customers navigate the myriad of options available for improving their homes and gardens.

“Bunnings is already the DIY expert. The magazine will play a pivotal role in delivering the all-important inspiration step.

“I’m extremely excited about launching a title packed with useful, practical and inspirational ideas that meet readers’ needs, tastes and capabilities.”

Bunnings’ director of marketing and merchandising Clive Duncan said: “We are always looking for ways to provide more value and exceptional experiences for our customers. The magazine provides another platform to inspire customers through achievable projects with helpful advice to create homes of which they can be proud.”
